As an international student, you will not be eligible for sponsorship specifically for US people. However, as American universities prioritize international practice. The number of international scholarships to study in the US has grown. There are also some American universities that offer unnecessary admission to foreign students.




Below is a selection of US scholarships for foreign students, some sponsored by the US government. Some sponsored by private organizations and some sponsored by specific institutions. Good luck with your requests!




US government-sponsored international student scholarships

Fulbright Foreign Student Program – Perhaps the most government-sponsored US scholarships for international students. Fulbright offers scholarships for graduates, young professionals and artists to study in the US for one year or more. It is open to international students in all fields except medical.




Hubert Humphrey Fellowship Program – This is an international undergraduate program, with experienced professionals who wish to do 10 months of study in the US. Although funding does not support graduate degrees, students are able to learn and develop their knowledge in educational institutions across the country.




US non-governmental scholarships for international students

#YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship – International studies aimed at all overseas students studying any subject at a participating college or US university. You should submit an essay or video that reflects your interest and action to improve cultural reading and exchange.



Community Organization Leadership Awards – Fully funded courses are available for students from countries eligible to study in the US or another host country at the master level.



David P. Shapiro Autism Scholarship –

A US $ 1,000 scholarship is open to current or prospective US students diagnosed with autism.


Preply Scholarship – Three winners will receive a prize of up to $ 2,000. It is open to all students (domestic and international, and at any level of education) between the ages of 16 and 35. MIT-Zaragoza Women in Logistics and SCM Scholarship – US courses for female students of any age, race or nationality, to study at the Zaragoza Logistics Center at MIT.

Rotary Peace Fellowships – Scholarships to study in the US are awarded for master’s degree students who study within Rotary’s Peace Centers (such as Duke University or University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill).


For students from developing countries:

Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship Program – The teaching of international graduates from African countries.


MasterCard Foundation Scholarships – Courses for African students to study in the US and Africa.
